World leaders react to Hugo Chavez' death

Chile, Ecuador, Bolivia, Brazil, Cuba, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, Panama, Costa-Rica, Guatemala, Urugway, Argentina - the latter has even announced a 3-days mourning - expressed their condolenses to the people of Venezuela. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon also expressed his condolences.

The United States are interested in starting constructive relations with Venezuela after Hugo Chavez' death. The U.S. President Barack Obama has maid such statement.

"At the times when Venezuela enters the new chapter of its history, the U.S. stay loyal to the policy of promotion of the democratic principles", Reuters quotes Obama.

President of France Francois Hollande has expressed his deepest sympathy for the people of Venezuela in connection with death of the country's leader Hugo Chavez. He has noted that the Venezuelan President "left a deep trace in the history of his country". 

The UK Foreign Minister William Hague has noted in his statement that Chavez "left an unforgetable impression about himself both in his own country and in the entire world".

President of Urugway José Mujica has called Hugo Chavez "a great builder" of democracy.
