USA donate 76 million dollars for support of freedom in Internet
Official representative of the State Department Victoria Nooland has said this to the journalists.
According to her words quoted by ВВС, this sum has been donated for the last 4 years.
They speak about the long-term programs which help the people from the
countries with limited access to the Internet to find the ways of access to the
world web and to understand that this is one of the fundamental freedoms.
Nooland mentioned Syria as an example.
The U.S.
President's Administration declared support of freedom in the Internet and
development of the social media one of their key priorities. Barack Obama's
Administration plans to provide 25 more million dollars for financing of
corresponding programs.
