U.S. and Canada to boycott World Ice Hockey Championship in Minsk?
Head of Latvian Hockey Federation Kirov Lipman has expressed the opinion.
By the way, it is only his personal opinion. At the same time, Lipman said to telegraf.lv that he was against depriving Belarus of 2014 Ice Hockey Championship. “It would be wrong to deprive Belarusians of big-time hockey”, - claimed the Latvian representative.
Let us remind you that numerous civil activists and official politicians including the U.S. President supported the idea of depriving Belarus of the right to host 2014 World Ice Hockey Championship. The reason for it was the presence of political prisoners and governmental repressions in the country.
