Tatstsyana Novikava's medicines not accepted in Akrestsina prison
Her colleague Iryna Suhiy has brought a parcel for the jailed ecological activist.
According to BelaPAN, Suhiy brought parcels for Novikava and jailed Russian nuclear physicist Andrei Azharovski. Azahrovski's parcel was accepted but Novikava's parcel was rejected. According to employees of the detention centre, somebody had already brought a parcel for Novikava and the second one could not be accepted.
Suhiy is surprised. She says that she made the parcel for the arrested ecological activist together with her friends and parents. She cannot think of anyone who could outstrip them.
Suhiy hopes that it will be possible to send the medicines with the help of Taststayana Novikava's mother. Relatives can bring medicines regardless of the number of accepted parcels. Novikava needs medicines because her thyroid gland was removed and she must take special medicines.
Let us remind you that Novikava, Russian nuclear physicist Andrei Azharovski and Mihail Matskevich were detained and jailed for different terms on July 18. They had been planning to present their appeals not to sign the general NPP construction contract to the Russian Embassy.
