Syarhei Laznitsa appears in Cannes to Kasya Kamotskaya's songs

The world premiere of Syarhei Laznitsa's movie "In the Fog" is taking place at the Cannes International Film Festival on May 25. The movie which is based on Vasil Bykau's narration competes for the grand-prix of the festival - The Golden Palm Branch. Lznitsa who was born n Baranavichy, grew up in Kyiv, and lives in Berlin, has said that his movie is rather a German-Austrian one. However, the movie studio "Belarusfilm" is also listed among the creators of "In the Fog". 

In the evening on May 25 Syarhei Laznitsa's cortege arrived to the Festival Palace. Actors Uladzimir Svirski (Sushchenya), Ulad Abashyn (Burau) and Syarhei Kalyasou (Voitsik) appeared on the red carpet together with the director.

As Euroradio informed before, there is almost no music in the movie "In the Fog". Syarhei Laznitsa agreed with Kasya Kamotskaya that the shooting group wpuld walk on the red carpet accompanied by the song "My Hunter" from the "People's Album" (lyrics - Mikhal Anempadystau). However, they did not stop on this - the song "God, take my life" by "New Sky" was played next.
