Sentence to Julia Tymoshenko to be pronounced today

On Tuesday, October 11 Pechersky court of Kyiv will pronounce the sentence against Julia Tymoshenko. She is accused in excessing the powers when signing gas contracts with Russia in 2009. The accusation demands to punish the ex-Prime Minister with 7 years of imprisonment.

The criminal case against Julia Tymoshenko was started on April 11. The court started hearings on June 24. After a month since the trial started Julia Tymoshenko was put in custody for disrespect for the court. Her adherents call the trial politically motivated.
