Putin Council to deal with human rights issues in Belarus
Russian HR defender Andrei Yurov plans hearings on Belarus rights concerns.
He was the one who headed
the working group on human rights issues abroad in the Russian President's HR
Council.
Yurau has told in a comment to charter97.org that his main task for the near future is to create a
subgroup on human rights in Belarus in order to at least raise this topic on a
regular basis. The human rights defender plans to hold hearings on the
situation with human rights in our country.
The Belarusian authorities banned Yurau from entering the territory of Belarus.
