Preventive observation set against Vasil Parfyankou
The term is 12 months. The Pershamayski district court of Minsk took this decision on January 5.
According to the information provided by the human rights center "Vyasna", this is the initiative of the head of the Pershamayski district police department. In his opinion, the ex-political prisoner "is not on the way to correction".
Let us remind you, Vasil Parfyankou was sentenced to 4 years of imprisonment upon "Dec.19 case". He was released like some other political prisoners. After that, he was put on a prophylactic record in the Pershamayski district police department at the place where he lives.
Preventive observation prescribes certain limitations. At first, Parfyankou is obliged to come to the internal affairs bodies at the place where he lives four times a month for registration. Secondly, he is prohibited to leave his apartment from 8 p.m. till 6 a.m., unless he has a steady job. Thirdly, the youngster is prohibited to go out of the city on his personal issues without coordination with the internal affairs bodies.
