Minsk gay-parade takes place in Shabany district (photo, video)

About ten people took part in the action.

"We want to conduct a rally in the outskirts of the city, as we wanted to do it in the settlement of Sosny, just because we are not ashamed of ourselves and we want equal rights", - this is how Syarhej Androsenka, the head of the human rights project GayBelarus started the parade. The participants of the action went 200 meters along Syalitski Street in the working district of Shabany in Minsk.

There were guests from Ukraine and Sweden among the participants of the parade. They chanted "Pride is normal" and "Belarus without homophobia".

After the rally, activists sent a rainbow flag to the sky on balloons. The action lasted for 5 minutes and the manifestants left. Let us remind you, two weeks ago Belarusian leader Alyaksandr Lukashenka commented upon the possibility of conducting a gay-parade in the capital: "I would not prohibit it. Let them show what they have to amuse the people somewhere in the outskirts of Minsk…"
