MEP stands up for arrested Pavel Vinahradau
Euroradio has found out that Marek Migalski has sent an official inquiry to the European Commission.
The MEP has informed that the activist of the civil campaign “Tell the Truth!” has been arrested for 10 days. Vinahradau has been punished for the organization of “the toy meeting” near Minsk City Executive Committee on February 10.
Migalski has stressed that the Belarusian authorities have launched a wave of repressions directed against civil activists and representatives of the opposition. He has also claimed that Belarusian citizens are deprived of the right for the freedom of expression and participation in peaceful protest actions.
