Homel Prosecutor’s Office reveals case staged by police
Kanstantsin Baluyeu who was convicted according to a drug distribution case staged by the police has been acquitted.
The decision to bring a verdict of not guilty and acquit the young man was taken by Aleh Shapira, Homel Railway District Court judge, on July 25. The accused was released in the court room, informs BelaPAN.
The Prosecutor’s Office reveled that the case had been staged by the police. The presidium of the regional court cancelled Baluyeu’s sentence and appointed a new hearing in May 2011.
