Guido Westerwelle calls Belarus “Europe’s disgrace”
The German Foreign Minister has made the statement during parliamentary debates in Bundestag.
According to Radio “Liberty” referring to the agency dapd, Westerwelle expressed anxiety in connection with the situation in Belarus. He reminded that democracy and the supremacy of law were a corner stone of European values. There can be no progress on the way to the EU without it. Moreover, the head of German diplomats claimed that the remarks concerned both Belarus and Ukraine.
