Greek journalists leave country newsless
The Greek mass media have gone on 24-hour strike today.
All news programmes on TV-channels and in the radio have been cancelled starting from 6 a.m. Information websites are not being updated. State Athens News Agency has also suspended its work and no newspapers will be out on Tuesday, informs RIA “Novosti”.
Journalists demand that the administration of mass media should sign group contracts instead of individual ones as they are more advantageous for employees. The main reason for the strike is the current economic crisis in Greece.
