Gas price for Belarus may be $150-165 per thousand cubic meters in 2012
This is almost twice lower than the market price. It has been informed by the Russian media today.
Gas prices are discussed in the material published in the newspaper "Vedomosti" under the heading "Russia finishes gas conflicts with Belarus".
Thus, the Russian gas may become nearly twice cheaper for Belarus in 2012 (now Belarus pays more than 300 USD per thousand cubic meters). The newspaper also claims that the prices for gas for Belarus will be tied to the Russian domestic costs since 2013. The prices will be calculated upon the formula which accounts the prices in one of the regions in Russia.
Such documents are planned to be signed at the level of inter-governmental agreements and contracts with "Gasprom", two officials of the Russian government have said to "Vedomosti". Another Russian publication - "Izvestiya" - confirms this information. However, it states another price - 165,6 USD per thousand cubic meters.
