Fyaduta suggests to expand EU black list by election commissions members

Represenatives of the opposition are not included into the election commissions under the following excuses - criminal past, lack of authority and experience. However, the "recidivists" appear among the members of the election commissions every time. This is a special kind of recidivism - when you are included into the election commission at every single election.

Alyaksandr Fyaduta: "For example, there are approximately 18% of such people in Minsk region - those who made it to the election commissions three times at 5 electoral campaigns. This is also the case of every 10th commissions member in Vitsebsk region".

There are 16% of such people in Mahileu region. There are even "recidivists" with 4 or even 5 "prior convictions" at the election commissions. For example, in Minsk region 9% of 126 commissions’ members were included thereof 4 times, and 3% counted votes in all the five (!) electoral campaigns. In Mahileu region, almost every tenth was in the commissions for 4 times, 0,12% — 5 times.

Summarizing the above, we see that there are about 30% of such "recidivists" in Minsk region, and 26,4% in Mahileu region. Other regions have a bit less. It may seem not that many. Fyaduta disagrees - too many.

Alyaksandr Fyaduta: "None of the analyzed elections were recognized by the international community as the elections that fully correspond with the international obligations of the Republic of Belarus. So what is good about those recidivists being there if they cannot grant us international recognition!".

Fyaduta says that falsification of the elections results are made at the level of the precinct commissions, and there should be punishment for this crime.

Alyaksandr Fyaduta: "The EU black list contains 24 names of the election commissions representatives. This is a 1/100 of a percentage point of "Liziya Yarmoshyna's Army". I think that everyone should bear responsibility, not just the generals like Yarmoshyna and Lazavik.

Euroradio's analysis shows that the oldest member of the election commission is its Chairperson Lidziya Yarmoshyna. She was an ordinary member of the CEC in 1992-1996, and headed it since 1996 till now. However, Lidziya Yarmoshyna confessed in an interview to Euroradio that she cannot resign from this position due to her own wish as the state leader does not let her go despite her age. Being "a member of the President's team", she cannot refuse to him.
