EU summit to take place in Brussels today
German Chancellor Angela Merkel has already conducted 2-hour negotiations with French President François Hollande.
The EU member states are still at loggerheads. Germany opposes to the introduction of Eurobonds and indulgence towards the states experiencing a crisis. France insists on further integration and stimulation of economic growth.
It is known that French President François Hollande is an active adherent of Monti plan. It is aimed at strengthening financial discipline in the eurozone states and prevention of debt crises in the future. However, critics claim that the plan does not solve the existing problem, informs the BBC.
