Anniversary of Universal Declaration on Human Rights marked today

The International Human Rights Day has been officially celebrated since 1950. The Declaration has become the common norm which every country should strive to fulfill.

The document declares the rights of a person, civil and political rights and freedoms, including equality before the law, right for freedom and personal security, freedom of conscience etc.

In particular, it is stated in the document that all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights, regardless of the differences in their countries' political systems.
