Andrzej Pachobut describes prison walks in a letter from jail

“One of the most pleasant events in my prison life is the walk. You make seven steps and there is a wall, you turn around and make seven more steps. You may think, what can be pleasant about it? But it is a wide expanse in comparison with the prison cell… I walk 3 or 3.5 kilometers during one walk… That’s about 90 kilometers per month in prison. I think it is a good result. To make it fun, I sing  "Na znojną walką", "Pierwsza brygada", "Piehota", "Piosenka ludzi bez domu" etc. while walking. The prison walls have not heard such songs since the 60s. It is more fun to walk and sing. The others also start signing sometimes, but their repertoire is different”, - writes Andrzei Pachobut in his blog.
