Andriy Shevchenko goes to Ukrainian Parliament
The ex-captain of the Ukrainian football team joined the party “Forward, Ukraine!” headed by Natallia Karaleuskaya.
It happened three months before the election.
“I took the decision to join forces with the party “Forward, Ukraine!” I am beginning my political career. This is the party of the future, the party of young leaders. For Ukraine, this is the defined choice between the past and the future, and I have already made this choice. I believe in this party”, – the “Euronews” TV-channel quotes the footballer’s words.
The position which Andriy Shevchenko is going to take in Karaleuskaya’s political team has not been revealed yet. The footballer, in his turn, promised to pay special attention to social problems and sports.
