Ales Mikhalevich detained in Warsaw
He was detained by the Polish authorities while he was going through the customs control in Chopin airport in Warsaw.
Mikhalevich was supposed to fly to London. He planned meetings in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in the British Parliament.
According to the preliminary information, Mikhalevich was detained on the ground of the Chief police administration's lists and will be transferred to the Polish prosecution. Let us remind you, Belarus announced international investigation for Mikhalevich when he left the country. The ex-presidential candidate obtained political asylum in the Czech Republic. Besides, the court in Prague declined the request of the Belarusian general prosecution and did not extradit Mikhalevich.
