8 New Year's parties for one average wage (infographics)

How have the prices changed in "Pechki Lavocki", "Bella Rosa", Mahilyou "Metro" and sanatorium "Yunatstva" since 2010?

"You can come any day from December 25 until December 30. It will cost Belarusians 9 or 10 million roubles for 12 days including the New Year's party and 36860 Russian roubels for Russians," "CentreKurort" said.

It is a usual 12 days' holiday plus the New Year's party and a banquet at the sanatorium. It costs 1160 dollars this year and used to be $830 two years ago. The price in Belarusian roubles has almost quadrupled due to the devaluation since then. You could go to the sanatorium for 2.5 million roubles or two average wages in 2010. 9 million 880 thousands is almost two average wages this year.

When Belarusians do not celebrate the New Year's Day at home, most of them go to retsaurants. The most expensive variant observed by Euroradio is "Bella Rosa" - you can celebrate the New Year's Day for $257 per person here. It was cheaper in 2010 - $228.

"It costs 1 million 990 thousands plus 10% for the service. There will be six courses, hot plates, salads and desserts. You can chose alcohol for two persons - a bottle of Italian champagne, wine or Belarusian vodka. You can bring alcohol with you. The programme includes caricaturists and live music. Kseniya Baranouskaya will be the presenter. There will be animators for children. The party will last until 5 a.m."

A New Year's party at the Minsk restaurant "Pechki Lavochki" is one of the cheapest variants - the prices match the prices in provincial restaurants. You could celebrate the New Year's Day for $64 per person last year. It is not clear whet will happen this year as the restaurant is situated in an apartment house.

"It will cost about 60 dollars. But the inhabitants of the apartment house do not want to give us the permission. We are allowed to work until 11 p.m. We have not been allowed to organize the New Year's party yet."

But if you can also go to Mahilyou!

"It costs 350 thousand per person plus 70 thousands for the programme. The minimal order costs 350 thousands - that's a bottle of vodka and you can bring the rest with you!"

The programme includes dances, jokes and striptease, Mahilyou restaurant "Metro" reports. A one-way  jitney ticket to Mahilyou costs 60 thousand roubles.

However, the average wage there is lower than in Minsk. A Mahilyou inhabitant can celebrate the New Year's Day at "Metro" 9 times and a Minsker at "Pechki Lavochki" - 10 times.

This situation looks interesting. You could celebrate the New Year' Day in "Pechki Lavochki" 5 times in 2010 (before the devaluation), 3 times in 2011 (after the devaluation) and 8 times this year. And it is 2, 1 and 2 times in "Bella Rosa".

Average wage in Belarus: 2010 - 1.2 millions, 2011 - 1.9 millions, October 2012 - 4.2 millions.
