8 CIS countries agree on free trade zone

Russian PM Vladimir Putin stated on Tuesday night that the heads of the CIS countries' governments "unexpectedly for themselves" agreed to sign a document on the free trade zone.

According to the agreement, it is planned to abolish export and import fees for many goods. At the same time, there are exceptions in the agreement - a series of goods not covered by this document.

Besides, according to the participants of the St. Petersburg meeting, this is a temporary measure. Ukraine's Prime Minister Mikalaj Azarau said that "a certain time period is indicated in the agreement, during which all the exceptions will be eliminated".

Only Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenia refused to sign the agreement on abolishment of fees, reports the Russian service of BBC.
