Quick passport registration cancelled in Belarus
As ERB has found out, the decision has been taken by the Ministry of Economy. Quick registration of passports has been cancelled in Belarus. The citizenship and migration department of Minsk Zavodski District Department of the Interior has informed about it:
The quick one has been abolished. We received an order of the Ministry of Economy indicating that quick passport registration had to be cancelled yesterday. I do not know why it had to be cancelled. We were simply informed about the fact. They have not explained us why”.
Let us remind you that it used to be possible to receive a new passport in 10 days. One had to pay 10 thousand roubles for it. It usually takes up to a month to make a new passport. In reality, it is about 2 or 3 weeks. A passport costs 17 500 roubles now.
