Putin gibes at Lukashenka at Minsk summit (video)
"Alyaksandr Ryhoravich has everything under control in the torture-chamber behind the wall," the Russian president joked.
The incident occurred during a meeting of the Supreme EurAsEC Council on Thursday.
The summit is being held in the newly-built Independence Palace, TV channel Russia-24 reported. Despite all the equipment had been checked many times, it still failed.
"Everything is working! It is being controlled here, behind the wall!” Alyaksandr Lukashenka told the Presidents. Russian President Vladimir Putin could not help joking: “Alyaksandr Ryhoravich controls everything in the torture-chamber behind the wall.” The two phrases sound similar in Russian, but the Belarusian president pretended not to notice the joke.
