Putin approves Russia's $600m loan for Belarus

Russian President Vladimir Putin has given a go-ahead to a fresh state loan worth of $600 million for Belarus needed to refinance the servicing of the previous loans, reports TASS.

"According to the decision of the President of the Russian Federation, Russia will provide a state loan worth of $600 million to Belarus," Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said. The funds will be used to refinance the payments on the debt from the previous loans to Belaru issused by the Russian Federation."
