President reshuffles staff in armed forces

Alyaksandr Lukashenka signed an order concerning staff changes in the armed forces of Belarus on July 26. In particular: - colonel Alyaksandr Rouka is appointed deputy head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus;

- major general Lutsyan Surynta is dismissed from the post of the deputy head of the Commander-in-Chief of the land forces of Belarus – commander of combat training and reserve training – and appointed Commander-in-Chief of the special forces of Belarus. Major general Valer Chupryn has been appointed on the former position of the deputy head of the Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus;

- colonel Alyaksei Eustihneeu is appointed head of the Western armed forces of Belarus;

- colonel Aleh Belakoneu is appointed deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Western armed forces of Belarus.
