Preliminary results of European parliamentary elections summed up

According to the preliminary information, more than a third of seats in the European Parliament will belong to the conservative centrist European People’s Party (EPP). “Interfax” notes that the EPP will get from 263 to 273 seats out of 736 in the new European Parliament.
Socialists occupy the second position: they have got from 155 to 165 seats. Liberals have won from 78 to 84 and “the greens” – from 52 to 56 seats.

The remaining seats are distributed among other parties not belonging to the main supranational political associations of Europe. The majority of the seats will be occupied by radicals and right ultras.
