Policemen do not allow transporting potatoes to Russia
Policemen detained several consignments of potatoes in Cherykau and Cherykau District, reports the “Zvyazda” newspaper. They detained two cars transporting potatoes in the district centre at 4 a.m. on November 14. The cargo’s weight was almost 20 tons. The drivers were from Petrovsk – a city in Saratov Province. They were transporting the potatoes without the corresponding documents, so a check-up is being conducted now.
The police detained one more car on the highway Cherykau-Krasnapolle not far from the village of Limen on the same day at 9 a.m. A 33-year-old Georgian citizen was transporting 10 tons of potatoes.
