Policeman caught in deception by Mahilou court

Natallia Samakhvalava from Mahilou complained to the Office of the President over barbarian reconstruction of the house No 15 in Lazarenki street. She reported that a forged bars were stolen from the porch, while a concrete plate with the 1910 date of construction mark disappeared in the unknown direction.

The complaints infuriated the owners of Sektar construction company that got the reconstruction contract. They brought Ms Samakhvalava to court, seeking to disptove her complaints. However, the court sided with the civil activist.

The court was hearing a police report which stated that the civil activist refused to meet with police officers and give her explanation over her complaint to the Office of the President. The fake report was detected when the judge demanded that the police pvovide proof that an inquiry into Samakhvalava's complaint was carried out.

After the court hearing, local human rights defender Uladzimir Krauchanka sent a letter to the Office of the President. He pointed to the fact of public property was stolen and the police report was falsified by a local police officer.
