Police search for local oppositionists during Lukashenka's visit to Pinsk

The city center of Pinsk was today sealed off by security services for more than two hours, because Alexander Lukashenka visited the city to unveil a new sports center.
Shops, banks, government and public offices were shut down, so local residents were unable to reach their working places or houses. The public transport was not available, either. The cordons were removed only after Lukashenka left the city.

Opposition activists in Pinsk also report that police agents called them on mobile phones and asked to come for a meeting. Youth activist Ihar Salau was detained and held for several hours in a police station. He was released afterwords.
