Police confiscate print-run of “Tovarishch”

The police rushed into the office of the “Tovarishch” newspaper today. It is a printed edition of the Belarusian Communist Party.
One of the party leaders, Valery Uhnalyou, informed ERB that the police were interested in the new issue of the newspaper.

“They rushed into the office like bandits and took all the remaining issues away. We had managed to send the majority of the issues to regions. The latest issue of “Tovarishch” is dedicated to pickets in support of the social march. They will take place on September 30”.

According to Uhnalyou, newspapers were taken away to conduct an expertise because they were suspected of having been printed in some other place which was different from Smolensk mentioned in the data-line. The politician thinks that the issues will be returned on September 30 - after the pickets are over.
