Pickets of solidarity with Communist Party are forbidden in Vitsebsk
Vitsebsk authorities have forbidden pickets with the motto “Hands off political parties!”. The head of the regional affiliate of BNF Kastus Smolikau sent an appeal asking to allow them to organize the pickets from February 15 till March 1.
Officials referred to the absence of documents where organizations should guarantee civil order, security and cleaning of the territory, etc. Representatives of BNF say that they wanted to claim solidarity with the Belarusian Communist Party that was on the edge of liquidation, informs BelaPAN.
However, the Ministry of Justice had withdrawn the appeal of liquidation of BCP before the authorities decided whether to allow the street actions or not.
