PACE delegation to pay official visit to Belarus today
A delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe will visit Belarus on February 16-19. It will be led by the head of the PACE Political Affairs Committee Göran Lindblad, informs “Interfax” referring to the press service of the House of Representatives.
The visit is necessary for a PACE Political Affairs Committee report about the situation in Belarus.
The visit will include meetings in both chambers of the National Assembly, President’s Administration, Supreme and Constitutional Courts, General Office of Public prosecutor, Ministry of Internal Affaires, Ministers of Education, Information, Justice and meetings with teachers and students of Belarusian State University.
The head of the sub-committee on Belarus Sinikka Hurskainen and a reporter on Belarus Andrea Rigoni will also join the PACE delegation.
