OSCE election observance mission verifying Yarmoshyna's scandalous information

Today's scandalous statment by Lidziya Yarmoshyna, the chairperson of the Central Election Commission, is being studied by OSCE's Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, its press secretary Jens-Hagen Eschenbaecher told the European Radio for Belarus.

Talking to reporters in Minsk today, Yarmoshyna mentioned the facts "uncorrect behavior" by some representatives of the OSCE election monitoring mission during the electoral process in Belarus. She said that the most scandalous case occurred in Babruisk, where observers from Macedonia and Spain "turned a ballot box upsidedown, started stepping on it and also tried to take away the ballot papers".

Jens-Hagen Eschenbaecher did not confirm the violations mentioned by Yarmoshyna but noted::

"We will be verifying these cases. If they took place indeed, we will take relevant measures in accordance with the code of observers".
