Opposition to ask European parliament to conduct negotations dedicated to missing politicians

The Belarusian opposition will ask the European Parliament to conduct negotiations about missing politicians Victar Hanchar and Yury Zaharanka, a businessman Anatol Krasouski and a journalist Zmitser Zavadski. The leader of the UCP Anatol Lyabedzka has informed about it. BelaPAN informs that more than 30 people have already signed the appeal. Among them are Uladzimir Nyaklyayeu, Henadz Buraukin, Yury Hadyka, Victar Ivashkevich, Stanislau Shushkevich, Andrei Sannikau and others. Signatures are still being collected.

The appeal will be sent to the President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek and heads of parliamentary groups. According to Lyabedzka, the opposition will ask to conduct the hearing in autumn.

Let us remind you that representatives of the opposition sent a letter to the UN Security Council on August 5. They asked to conduct an international investigation of the missing politicians’ cases.
