Oil export duty to increase in Belarus starting from June 1

The Belarusian oil export duty will be increased to match the Russian one starting from June 1. According to the regulation of the Council of Ministers, the crude oil export duty rate will be increased from 156.4 USD per ton to 200.6 USD. The gas duty will be increased from 117.7 to 147.5 USD. Let us remind you that the increase of the duty is being performed according to the intergovernmental treaty in the field of oil export signed in Moscow on January 12.

As it was reported, the oil duty imported in Belarus will be changed if the oil export duty is changed in Russia. The crude oil duty imported in Belarus from Russia is counted using the coefficient 0.293 in 2007.
