The appeal has already been signed bySiarhej Mikhalok and the band"Liapis Trubetskoy"Jury Shevchuk and the band DDT,Alexander "Chacha" Ivanov, the frontman of the "NAIV" band, Ivan Alekseyev, also known as  NOIZE MC, the band "Elisium", Zmitser "Sid" Spirin and the band "Tarakany"!

The appeal sounds as follows:

"A peaceful protest action took place in Minsk on December 19.

It is a usual practice in the whole world to get together and wait for the election results.

It is the citizens' right to express their protest and the right for freedom of assembly.

We condemn the brutal dispersal, use of force against peaceful citizens and presidential candidates, and their detention after that.

The doors broken by provocators are not worth broken heads!

The police's actions could have led to murder of peaceful citizens!

We call on the authorities of the Republic of Belarus to release the detained.

We are proud of people who fight for their rights, who are not afraid to declare their opinions openly and stand for their civil rights"
.

Liavon Volski, Siarhej Mikhalok, Uladzimir Puhach have spoken with regard to the situation.

Jury Shevchuk and NAIV have explained their position separately to Euroradio.

If you are a musician or a cultural activist and have a wish to sign under this appeal, please leave your name and the name of your band in the comments to this article!
