Moscow demands to release Belarusian political prisoners
An action of solidarity with victims of political repressions took place near the Belarusian Embassy to Moscow on July 16.
It was organized by local Belarusians and the Russian movement “Defense”. Participants of the picket were giving out leaflets containing information about the people who disappeared in Belarus and Belarusian political prisoners.
The organizers of the action in Moscow also distributed an appeal in which they demanded that Belarusian authorities should “immediately release all political prisoners, stop persecution of non-governmental organizations and mass media, conduct an open investigation of the cases of people who disappeared and punish those who are responsible for it”.
