Minsk City Council in fresh 'legal war' against Nyaklyayeu

The Minsk City Council has issued yet another summons to the Minsk Commercial Court against Uladzimir Nyaklyayeu-led Say the Truth! movement. The preliminary hearing of the case is set for July 20. Officials now are trying to prove that the spaces where the movement is located can not be used as an office.

Natalia Pakhlopka, deputy chairperson of the organization, describes the claims of the Minsk City Council and another summons against the Research and Education Institution as far-fetched. She says it will be enough for the court to study all the technical documents of the venue and rental contract to make the case fall apart. But some effort will be required in order to collect this paperwork. Despite the decision of the fist court in favour of Movement Forward, the office sealed by the police has not be reopened on the grounds of an alleged criminal case. But investigators do not reveal any details.
