Is Ministry of Justice unable to count to 6?

The leader of the Belarusian Communist Party Syarhei Kalyakin is preparing an open letter to the Ministry of Justice. The reason for it is the statement of Minister Victar Halavanau.
Let us remind you that he informed that he was going to send an appeal about liquidation of the Communist Party to the Supreme Court.

According to the Minister, the 6-months term of suspension of the party ends on January 2. The decision was taken by the Supreme Court on August 2. However, only five months have already passed and the term will end in February.

Moreover, the Minister accused the party of not having corrected the law violations that led to its suspension. Syarhei Kalyaking is trying to make the Minister withdraw his appeal.

“According to the existing law on political parties, we have to send documents proving that we have corrected violations to the Ministry of Justice 10 days before the term of suspension ends. In this case our activities will automatically be allowed again when the term ends, that is on February 2”.

According to Kalyakin, not a single official of the Ministry of Justice has checked the structure of the party during the term of suspension. So the Ministry has no right to claim that the violations have not been corrected.
