Mikalai Statkevich returns to Mahilyou prison
The political prisoner will serve the last 19 months of his sentence there.
Political prisoner Mikola Statkevich has been transferred back to Mahilyou prison #4. He will stay there for the last 19 months of his sentence, his wife Maryna Adamovich told Belsat.
"The colony refused to tell me the exact date but I think that it happened on the day of the trial (on the night of May 5). As far as I know, they make transfers on Mondays. That is why were in a hurry in court,” Adamovich said.
Statkevich is the only presidential candidate-2010 who is still in prison. He is serving his 6-year sentence. The political prisoner has been asked to beg for Lukashenka’s pardon many times but he is refusing to do it.
