Maryia Kalesnikava's father has received official confirmation that she is being held as a detainee in the remand prison No 1 in Valadarskaha street in Minsk, reports TUT.by. The news has come more than two days after she detained.
The member of the Coordination Council was snatched by masked men off the street in central Minsk and forced to leave the country. However, when the at border with Ukraine, she reportedly tore her passport up and walked back to Belarus. She was detained by Belarus border officials and taken to Minsk. It is yet to be known what charges she is facing.
