M. Statkevіch: They also tried to accuse opposition of explosion in Vitsebsk
A Belarusian opposition politician, a former political prisoner Mikola Statkevich discussed the reaction of the Belarusian television to the explosion in Minsk and the fact whether the authorities could try “to cook up charges” against the opposition in an interview with ERB.
Mіkola Statkevіch: "I think the authorities will try “to cook up charges” against the opposition. There were attempts to do it after the explosion in Vitsebsk. I do not think this incident will be an exception.
However, the Belarusian TV presents this episode as a secondary one and stresses that “we have won” and “the concert was not disrupted”.
Thus, festive activities continued in spite of the explosion. People who can do such things will look for any possibility to accuse their political opponents of the accident”.
