Lyapis Trubetskoy presents new single Oldi. Serёnity Dub (audio)
The joint mini album of the Lyapises and Karibasy is dedicated to poet and musician Sergey ‘Oldi’ Belousov.
Sergei, leader of the famous reggae band Komitet Ohrany Tepla, could turn 52 on October 16. The mini album consists of 4 mixes of the Lyapises’ songs Zolotya Rybka and Africa. Africa is a cover version of the song by Komitet Ohrany Tepla used by Lyapis Trubetskoi for their album Vesyolyye Kartinki.
"Nobody could sing reggae in Russian better than he did. He described the life of a rastaman in the North where is the no warmth even in human relations,” leader of Lyapis Trubetskoy Syarhei Mihalok commented on the work of Sergey ‘Oldi’ Belousov in an interview with www.gazeta.ru after the musician’s death.
