Lyabedzka: There are not many people wishing to take part in the elections

A meeting of the political council of the United Democratic Forces will take place in Minsk on January 24. One of the main issues on the agenda will be the coalition’s participation in the future local elections.
The leader of the United Civil Party Anatol Lyabedzka has told ERB that the main factor of UCP members’ participation in the elections will be the character of creation of district commissions.

Anatol Lyabedzka: “The strategy correction and preparation for the election campaign, the local one is meant here, are on the agenda. We have discussed the candidates today. To tell you the truth, there are not many of them – people lack motivation a lot. However, we are still getting ready for it. The creation of district commissions is our main criterion of participation in the election campaign”.
The UCP will decide on the final format of its participation in the elections at a meeting of the party on March 21.
