Lukashenka's decree draft on self-employed entrepreneurs made public

On March 13, the draft of the presidential decree on individual entrepreneurs appeared online. As Euroradio reported earlier, the draft has been on Lukashenka's table for a while, but it's signature date is still unknown. Some business associations were involved in the development of the decree.

Previously, according to former presidential Decree 222, all the entrepreneurs selling clothes and shoes were to have quality certificates for each product unit starting March 1. Entrepreneurs demand its cancellation saying that the value of their product will grow manyfold - the certificates are expensive. As a result, just two days before decree was to enter into force, Deputy Minister of Economy said that no employers would be fined (fine as much as 9 million rubles) for the absence of certificates until the  the new decree was adopted. In fact, entrepreneurs are now working illegally, with only verbal assurances from the Ministry of Economy.

According to the draft, individual entrepreneurs can work without certificates for goods, but have to pay double tax.
