Lukashenka: Half of school curriculum is useless

On November 21, Alyaksandr Lukashenka held a workshop with students, faculty and alumni of the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank. In his speech, he said that it is necessary to update the curricula in schools and universities, while maintaining the best practices of the past.

The President expressed his dissatisfaction with the way his assignment to update study programs of universities and particularly schools is fulfilled. "What we make them study at school? Half of it is trash, absolutely useless for children. So I demanded that the program be changed. Something has changed, but it is still not enough," BELTA quoted Alyaksandr Lukashenka.
