Leader of BFTU Kozik to join opposition

Leanіd Kozik, the leader of the Belarusian Federation of Trade Unions, has claimed he is going to join the opposition.
He is offended by the fact that the amendments proposed by his organization were not taken into account in the project of the Law on amendments to the Labour Code of the Republic of Belarus.

Kozik notes that the amendments were worked out for the good of workers but the government rejected them and thus supported “private capital and owner of private enterprises”. The leader of the Federation says that “BFTU can only reconsider demands to the government and make them stricter in the framework of social cooperation”.
