Lawyers to try to pass slippers for Baumgertner in KGB prison

Vladislav Baumgertner's lawyers will pursue everyday meetings with their client. According to head of the Consular Department of the Russian Embassy in Belarus Igor Koryagin, they will try to pass one more parcel to the KGB prison.

"There are still some things that his mother brought - slippers, sports outfit. If he needs something more it will be purchased,"  RIA Novosti quotes the diplomat. Baumgetner's mother, who arrived to Belarus specially, wasn't allowed to meet with her son.
 

Uralkali CEO Vladislav Baumgertner was detained on August 26 in Minsk airport after the meeting with PM Mikhail Myasnikovich. The Investigatory Committee of Belarus stated that the Uralkali director-general caused damage to the national interests of Belarus. Baumgertner is charged with power abuse . He faces up to 10 years of imprisonment with property confiscation. The Investigatory Committee informs that the damage is estimated as $ 100 million. Baumgertner stays in custody in the KGB prison.
