Belarus to file $100 million worth of lawsuits over Uralkali case.

Amount of Belarusian civil claims by so-called "potash case" will amount to around $100 million. It was announced by the Attorney General Alyaksandr Kanyuk, BelaPAN reports. 

However, the Attorney General admitted that date of the trial is not yet known, as in Russia the "potash case" is still under investigation. 

Belarus plans to announce its financial claims at the trial over the former director general of the Russian company Uralkali Vladislav Baumgertner. In case there is a trial after all. 

General Director of Uralkali was detained in Minsk on August 26, 2013. First, he was accused of abuse of power and official authority, then an extra charge of theft was added. In November of the same year, Baumgertner was handed over to the Russian law enforcers. After that, the Belarusian side sent to Russia all the documents concerning the case.
